street arts

bergerek (berbasikal) memburu seni jalanan, Georgetown :)

pekena roti jala Taman Tun Sardon dulu :D

singkatan untuk Penang Artisan....tak ingat

Berada di jalanan sebenarnya izin kau lihat banyak perkara, izin kau mengalami banyak perkara.

Was somewhere nearby to take photo and a Chinese guy, an uncle lah mudah cerita (only in Malaysia - semua orang selain saudara-mara adalah uncle/auntie atau pakcik/makcik bagi yang berusia) sedang mengambil gambar juga. Menyedari aku berada disitu untuk jangka waktu yang mungkin beliau rasa lama, beliau tegur

"Sorry..sorry, you mau ambil gambar ya?", sambil senyum

"Takpa..takpa.."

"You tengok, ada orang tak guna punya, baling itu kuah roti canai. Habis gambar.."

Lepas uncle tu kata, baru aku perasan.

Dan sambil berbasikal...
we passed by auntie-auntie yang entah min aina ila aina (dari mana ke mana), balik dari beli sayur mungkin. Smiled to them, some did reply and I must say the feeling is beautiful. Saw a policeman going out from a cafe, just finished having breakfast mungkin, smiled and he smiled back and angkat tangan (friendly gesture). Bumped into an old uncle at the corner of Victoria Street and smiled. He smiled back and said "Bawak bicycle, baik-baik ya". Then somewhere at the end of Muntri Street we stopped to check the map, an uncle from kedai makan across the street shouted...

"Nak pergi mana??"

we were like, ape kes uncle ni so we replied with isyarat it's-alright-we-got-it.
he didn't stop..

"Nak tengok itu lukisan dinding aa??"

*angguk*

He then explain where should we go. After one round, we were somewhere nearby his kedai makan so we thought maybe we can ask him again to get to the next destination.

"Adik sama kakak eh...?" Haha

And so I asked and he explained that some street arts no longer exists as they repainted the building so yeah....sebab tu cari-cari tak jumpa jumpa.

Anyways, we cycled for more than 2 hours rasanya. and that felt soooooo good! :D

peeping cila :P
Armenian Street
and yeah we chose weird bicycles :D bila lagi kannn~
kakak chantek! :D

Kedai Basikal, rental: RM10 per day

Basically we met nice and friendly people along the way (at least I choose to believe so) and saw some details of street life and both were interesting. They are the things usually we, or maybe it's just me, overlook or would not experience when driving around town.

and the art of kindness - paling cantik, macam mana pun rupa.

Praise be to Allah for all the beautiful things in life :)
