28
I asked a 5-year-old how to spell "awan".
Here's what she gave me -
A-W-A-N-G, Awan!
Then I asked her "Cuba teka kakak umur berapa?"
She took some time to think then she said "28!"
"Kenapa 28..?"
"Sebab 28 tu banyak..."
Boleh tak nak blame the tudung 'makcik' aka the instant tudung I was wearing masa tu =.="
Macam dulu
Kelmarin dulu, dari sebuah soalan, akhirnya aku dan mama Saif berbual panjang dan perbualan itu turut menyangkut cerita masa lalu milik aku, sesuatu yang jarang mahu aku bicara dewasa ini meski flashes of the buried memories appear in mind at very very high frequency.
Just so you know, I am not as complicated as my writings...err..hope so :D
Di Tepi Sungai Piedra Aku Duduk dan Meratap
Just finished reading Paulo Coelho's By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept. The storyline was nice. Apart from lessons about life, it gives me an insight about Christianity, catholicism and a little bit about trinity. And of course those in some ways or many ways are not parallel with Islam and actually made me see how Islam really makes sense, how it fits the fitrah of human being, how oft-forgiving, Most Merciful Allah is. Anyhow, "For you is your religion, for me is mine" (109:6). Still, I like some of the ideas about finding God presented in the novel :)
"because the spiritual path can only be traveled through the daily experience of love"
"...God is wherever we allow Him to enter"
"In order to find God, you have only to look around"

And oh, there's this one description of 'falling in love' which was put forward in the novel through the main character, Pilar.
"I've been in love before. It's like a narcotic. At first it brings the euphoria of complete surrender. The next day, you want more. You're not addicted yet, but you like the sensation, and you think you can still control things. You think about the person you love for two minutes and forget them for three hours. But then you get used to that person, and you begin to be completely dependent on them. Now you think about him for three hours and forget him in two minutes. It he's not there, you feel like an addict who can't get a fix. And just as addicts steal and humiliate themselves to get what they need, you're willing to do anything for love."
"What a horrible way to put it", says the person Pilar was talking to.

But that's what commonly occurring in the reality. Unhealthy love. I am no exception. I'd love to quote Wardina from the forum Where is the Love. Can't remember the exact words but the message, as I interpret it, is something like this - To love healthily, one must have a healthy heart and a healthy heart is a heart that remembers Allah, always :)
